The show, entitled “Northern Lights in the Land of the Midnight Sun,” is comprised of aurora images made over the last year in both Southeast Alaska and the Yukon. Uniquely, many of Joe’s final aurora prints are made by capturing multiple images of the scene (up to 8 or more separate frames), stitching (or combining) those images together via specialized software and creating highly detailed, large scale, panoramic final prints. The images in Joe’s show are printed on metal to best capture the brilliance and glow of the auroras as they are seen in person.
