First National Bank Alaska branches in Southeast recently donated $4,000 to the Healing Hand Foundation. A matching grant from the Sealaska Legacy Endowment doubles First National’s donation to $8,000 for low-income patients of SEARHC.
The foundation provides financial assistance to these SEARHC patients for medical devices and travel not otherwise paid for by insurance and other medical coverage options. SEARHC has facilities throughout Southeast, including Juneau, Sitka and Haines, where First National has branches.
“For nearly a century now, First National has supported the communities we serve and the Alaskans who live there,” said Luke Fanning, Southeast Regional Manager for the bank and HHF board member. “I’ve seen directly how HHF lends a hand to those who might otherwise not get the care they need. We believe in helping those who help Alaskans.”
