Circles of Security, a six-week series to nurture and support a happy and safe family life, begins Tuesday, April 30 from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Association for the Education of Young Children (AEYC) office, 3200 Hospital Dr., Suite 204. Fatherhood is Sacred begins Thursday, May 2 from 5-8 p.m. at the Andrew Hope Building, second floor. Dinner and child care support is available for each class.
The sessions will help equip parents and primary caregivers with skills and strategies to connect with children in healthy and nurturing ways. A list of upcoming classes is available at ROCK Juneau.org.
R.O.C.K. Juneau, along with Central Council of the Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska, and the Southeast Alaska AEYC, is coordinating the classes thanks to the Alaska Children’s Trust and the STEPS grant through the Association of Alaska School Boards.
