The Southeast Regional Resource Center’s Learning Connection is recruiting students and accepting applications for free training through several workforce development programs.
• Construction and welding training programs through the Juneau Construction Academy and STEP are available for participants to become trained at UAS and gain employment skills for work in the construction and mining trades. Some classes begin Aug. 28.
• The JobX Program provides career guidance, GED, paid career pathway certifications, and job experiences for qualified out of school youth ages 16-24.
• The Adult Education Program is providing basic math, English, social studies, science and ESL skills for GED testers, adult skills improvement or for preparation for college.
