JUNEAU — The Alaska State Library Historical Collections will be screening Charlie Chaplin’s 1925 film, “The Gold Rush” on Saturday, Jan. 7 at 2 p.m. at the Andrew P. Kashevaroff State Library, Archives, and Museum.
Charlie Chaplin’s “Gold Rush” is considered one of the “100 Greatest American Films of All Time” and is also considered one of the “100 Funniest American Movies of all Time” by the American Film Institute. This acclaimed film follows the misadventures of a lonely prospector looking for fortune during the Klondike Gold Rush.
The screening of “Gold Rush” re-launches the Alaska State Library Historical Collections’ film series “Treasures from the State Film Library,” at the Andrew P. Kashevaroff State Library, Archives, and Museum.
