Free writing classes for state employees
“On Writing” columnist Jim Hale is offering a “Writing for the Workplace” workshop at the end of September, free of charge to Alaska state employees.
The class will be held at Centennial Hall in the Hickel Room. There is room for 50-60; 30 have already registered.
For the eight years Hale has been giving the class, the state of Alaska has been his biggest client, he said. He’s offering it free as a way to “pay the State back for its support over the years,” he wrote in an email.
The class is 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. For those who are not state employees, it is $250.
