The Front Street Clinic exists to serve the health care needs of the homeless and other members of the Juneau community that have trouble finding affordable medical care. Despite our best effort to carefully manage the clinic within our grant funds and limited income, this past fall we found ourselves in a budget hole and embarked on a fundraising campaign to fill that hole and create a small cushion that ensures enough cash flow to keep the clinic doors open. The Juneau community responded with great generosity and we were able to raise over $93,000, which includes a very generous matching donation of $50,000 from the Northern Light United Church. These funds will go a long way to ensure that the Front Street Clinic remains open and able to serve those in need. Between the generosity of Juneau, Medicaid expansion and other measures we have taken, the clinic is now in a much more secure position and will hopefully serve those in need long into the future. Thank you Juneau and especially the members of the Northern Light United Church for all of your support.
