The Healing Hand Foundation announced Kristin McTague as its new executive director.
McTague will work closely with the foundation’s board of directors to increase Alaskan Natives’ access to unfunded healthcare services.
According to a press release from SEARHC, the HHF formed in 2001 to help fill the funding gap in health care services for Southeast Alaskan Native people. Formerly known as The SEARHC Foundation, it existed as part of SEARHC.
Now a stand-alone 501c3 non-profit, HHF continues to help fill the funding gap by helping to pay for pharmaceuticals, durable medical equipment or emergency patient escort travel expenses not covered by a patient’s insurance or other programs.
