Helping Hands would like to thank everyone that supported us at our auction and dinner. It was a great success and to see our great supporters there. I would also like to thank all the volunteers that really work hard and extra hours for the dinner and the auction.

For people wondering what to donate on a regular basis to us, we recommend nonperishable food such as canned fruits, vegetables, meats, rice and pasta. Please call me at 789-4390 and we will make arrangements to pick it up or to drop it off at Helping Hands. Most of our perishables come from the local grocery stores. We also accept cash donations and they can be mailed to Helping Hands, P.O. Box 33721, Juneau AK 99803.

We have about 30 committed volunteers working with Helping Hands.

Helping Hands is a member of United Way. We serve about 400 people a week. Anyone needing food can come to our warehouse when we are open. There are no forms to fill out and no questions asked.

Curves of Juneau will be holding a food drive for Helping Hands for the month of August.

We are located at 6590 Glacier Highway, the Switzer Village Trailer Court Recreation Hall. The hours are 5:30-6:50 p.m.

I would like to thank everyone who donates to us during the year.
