Northern Light United Church will hold its annual holiday bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church’s location at 11th and B streets downtown.
A variety of homemade baked goods, crafts and other items will be sold. A lunch of soup, bread and pie will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The money from the bazaar goes to Front Street Clinic, Haven House, Camp Champ, AWARE, the Glory Hole, the Alaska Children’s Home and others. Other funds are allocated to support missions around the world, such as No More Malaria, farming tools, seeds, plants and trees for a sustainable life. Mission projects are targeted to projects and programs that focus on women and children.
