Hydaburg City School District has announced the opening of its statewide correspondence high school — TOTEM Correspondence. TOTEM Correspondence School is a personalized education model in which students can work at their own pace with project-based thematic curriculum, receive individualized instruction, participate in college classes, and graduate with a high school diploma.
As a statewide correspondence school, continued communication between students and teachers is essential. Every student will receive their own laptop computer along with their personalized learning plan.
In addition to project-based thematic courses that will meet standards in multiple subject areas, students can participate in college courses while receiving dual college and high school credit, choose single courses for individual subject areas, and choose credit recovery options for incomplete and failed courses. Visit totemcorrespondence.org for additional information and to enroll. To speak with a school representative, call Bart Mwarey at 907-410-3359.
