The public is invited to try their luck and skill at this year’s Juneau Gun Club Turkey Shoot happening from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Alaska Department of Fish and Game Hunter Education Facility on Montana Creek Road.
According to a release from the JGC, 90 turkeys will be awarded to participants, but it’s not necessary to shoot for a chance to win.
Shooting events will include shotgun, rifle, pistol, archery, as well as games of skill and chance for youth and adults. Those games include trap, Annie Oakley, a card shoot or a bubble shoot.
Loaner shotguns will be available, or participants can bring their own. However, no personal rifles or pistols are allowed; those will be provided. Also provided is ammunition for all events.
The event is put on in conjunction with the Juneau Shooting Sports Foundation, the Juneau Archery Club and the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.
