The Juneau Lyric Opera (JLO) is celebrating 40 years of vocal and theatrical programming at their Anniversary Gala on Friday, July 29, 7 p.m. at the Elizabeth Peratrovich Hall.
JLO’s Gala will present a music program featuring several local singers such as Kathleen Wayne; the “singing surgeon” David Miller; Who’s Your Diva? divas Patricia Hull, Cheryl Crawford and Megan Felts; tenor Mark Calvert and many more. Juneau artists along with special guests Tess Altiveros and Mark Kratz will perform highlights from JLO’s first 40 years, and excerpts from upcoming productions. The evening will also feature complimentary tapas catered by V’s Cellar Door, a nohost bar and a live auction.
It’s $40 per person, or $320 for a reserved table of eight. Tickets are available at the Juneau Arts & Culture Center, Hearthside books and juneauopera.org.
