The Juneau Amateur Radio Club is providing an entry-level, technician amateur radio class on Jan. 16 beginning at 1 p.m. at the NOAA Weather Service Facility (8500 Mendenhall Loop Road).
The class will be taught by Jeffrey Deaner, an experienced amateur. At the end of the class the Federal Communications Commission’s exam for the Technician Level License will be given. During the class students will be able to get on the air on the club station and communicate with another amateur operator at some great distance from Juneau. The sessions are open to any interested parties.
