JYS thanks all who supported Juneau Youth Gallery Walk

Juneau Youth Services would like to thank the following people for their generous donations of time, space and hard work to make the first annual Juneau Youth Gallery Walk happen!

Thank you Neil and Charity MacKinnon for allowing us to use the space — wow, not enough words to thank you sufficiently; Juneau Tours for the beautiful posters and support of Juneau’s youth; the Hutchinson Family for all their time, dedication and talent;

Mandy Massey, Robin Tomas, Kendall Weaver and all the supportive crew at ABC Stations; Alana Ballam-Schwan of Office of Child Services — her talent and experience “made” the show; Michelle Wilson of the Great Alaskan Toy Drive for 18 plus years of support to Juneau’s youth; Alicia Smith and staff of Juneau’s Imagination Station;

Carol V. for the contribution of her delicious caramel corn; Commercial Signs and Printing for their support; Susan Nachtigal and the creative submissions of her students at Floyd Dryden Middle School; Haifa Sadighi of Floyd Dryden Middle School for her support and enthusiasm for the project; Hilary Young and her Sources of Strength students; Summer Putman, Rylee Landen and Garrett Nitschke; Felipe Ogoy for your talent and support; John Malaccas for your support and contribution;

and to Heather Ridgeway of the Juneau School District.

Without your support and the support of the phenomenal young artists–Hal Thurman, Katie Buchanan and Laurie Balstad of the Juneau-Douglas High School AP art class, who agreed to lend their art work in order to support the importance of children having an opportunity to express what they often cannot convey through words — we would not have had a successful show!

Thank you for helping JYS highlight how precious, vulnerable and resilient some of our youngest community members are, and with a little support, who they might become.

Thank you for your assistance on this.
