Ketchikan’s Monthly Grind for October will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Saxman Tribal House, beginning at 7 p.m.
Featured performers include The River People, Gracecase, Diva Gillian and Shadow and Divo Niles, the Misty Thistle Pipes and Drums, Stewart Ely, and a special performance by the First City Players cast of “Mary Poppins.”
The event will be hosted by The Wodehouse Family.
Tickets are available at Soho Coho, The Point, and McPherson’s and are $5. Attendees who bring a homemade dessert will get a refund.
The Monthly Grind is a volunteer-produced talent show held on the third Saturday of the month in Ketchikan from September through May each year. The event was founded in 1988 by Peggy Hovik, Carolyn Minor, Halli Kennoyer, and Eric Hummel. Currently the Monthly Grind is produced by Hovik, Tom LeCompte, and Penny Pederson.
