Exchange student from Berlin attending Thunder Mountain High School as a junior, Rosa Annina Hagedorn, won Alaska Best of Show in the National Jr. Duck Stamp competition. Along with her ribbon, she received art supplies, Ducks Unlimited hat and t-shirt, waterfowl guide, Pentax Binoculars and a $250 money order.
Senior Erin Buhler won first for the state of Alaska for her conservation message, “Appreciating Nature’s beauty is the first step toward conserving it.” This came with a $50 money order. Sophomore Veronica Salter also won a first place ribbon.
Second place ribbons went to senior Lacey Honsinger and sophomore Anthony Fischer Rago.
