Central Council of the Tlingit & Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska will host a Native Issues Forum on the topic of empowering tribal courts from noon-1 p.m. on Thursday, April 14. Guest speakers will be Senator John Coghill, R-North Pole, Tribal Court Presiding Judge Deb O’Gara and Mike Jackson. The event, co-sponsored by Sealaska Corporation, will take place at Elizabeth Peratrovich Hall and is catered by Abby’s Kitchen. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.
