After a clean up at Fish Creek Pond, North Douglas Neighborhood Association points out that although trashcans are not full, some people have been treating public property as if it were a private trashcan.
People have left multiple pieces of garbage out, and people who made fires on tree roots left them smoldering. NDNA urges all people who use the island to remember that plastic and fish line kills fish and birds, and to dispose of trash, clean up your location after use and ensure all fires are completely put out.
