Nelson, Vu wed

Nicholas Nelson and Suzette Vu of Juneau were united in holy matrimony on Dec. 23, 2017, at the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The groom, a Juneau-Douglas High School graduate, is the son of Barbara and Norval Nelson and is a commercial fisherman. He is the grandson of Irene Cadiente and the late Andres Cadiente, Sr., Norval Nelson, Sr., and the the late Virginia Kochergin.

The bride, a Juneau-Douglas High School graduate, is the daughter of Thieu and Agnes Vu and works at Bartlett Memorial Hospital as an executive administrative assistant. She is the granddaughter of Alejandra Arabaca and the late Fransisco Arabaca.

The best man was David Nash. The groomsmen included Norval Nelson III, BJ Moala, Dominique Brinson, Aquino Brinson and Ricardo Smith. The ring bearer was the groom’s son, Sebastian Nelson. The ushers were Michah Nelson, son, and Nils Nelson, nephew.

The wedding was officiated by Fr. Pat and Deacon Charles, and the altar servers were sons Isaiah and Christian Nelson. The maid of honor was Nemasia Moala, and the bridesmaids were Norene Nelson, Amanda Endicott, Angela Endicott, Sarah Endicott, and Rhea Nguyen.The flower girls were Zion Moala and Nina Nelson.

The couple will continue to make their home in Juneau.
