Coppa released “Nas-Tea Woman” ice cream on Oct. 25, and $1 from every sale of the dessert will go to Aiding Women in Rape and Abuse Emergencies.
The flavor was made to celebrate and empower women. The flavor uses a hibiscus tea base with spicy bits of candied ginger and black pepper.
“We are inspired and motivated by the discussion of women that’s happening in the media, and want to add our voice in respect of women in Juneau and across the country,” said Coppa co-owner, Jessica Paris. “We hope our ice cream flavor will encourage us all to celebrate strong, sassy, outspoken women in our lives.”
