The Alaska State Committee for Research is soliciting nominations for the Alaska Innovators Hall of Fame. The hall recognizes individuals “who put Alaska on the map as leaders in innovation and who contribute to Alaska’s growing culture of innovation,” states the Juneau Economic Development Council, which joined the committee in soliciting nominations Monday.
Nominees must have been an Alaska resident for at least one year, or have made a significant demonstration of the innovation’s links to Alaska or have conducted research work in Alaska.
Nominees selected by the committee for induction will be part of a ceremony at the annual Innovation Summit held in Juneau. Next year’s summit takes place Feb. 21-22.
Nominations are due by Jan. 5. For more information on how to nominate someone, visit http://alaska.edu/research/research/scor/ak-innovators/
