Norwegian breakfast

A Norwegian Breakfast “Frokost” will be served to the public on Saturday, April 9 from 9 a.m.-noon at the Juneau Yacht Club, Aurora Harbor. It is sponsored by the Sons of Norway and Friends of Scandinavia Svalbard Lodge of Juneau.

The menu will include Norwegian specialties of sour cream waffles with strawberries and whipping cream, Norwegian eggs supreme, sausage-egg casserole, hash brown casserole, Norwegian rolls, geitost cheese and pickled herring.

Hot beverages and orange juice will be served with the breakfast.

Music will be played by Dale Wygant, accordion and friends. Musicians are welcome to come and jam.

Suggested donations are $15 for adults, $10 students and seniors and $5 per child (10 and under).

This event is a Svalbard Lodge of Juneau cultural scholarship fundraiser to promote Scandinavian cultural education in Juneau. There will also be Scandinavian cultural displays.
