The Marie Drake Planetarium will present a talk on Tuesday, May 30, about the upcoming total solar eclipse on Aug. 21.
This will be the first totality over mainland USA since 1979.The moon’s shadow will cover Oregon, then head east to South Carolina.
Eclipse chaser Steve will cover the science and experience of witnessing this most awesome of celestial events. It will be followed by “The Stars Tonight” on the Spitz projector.
The event starts at 7 p.m., is free, and open to all ages at the planetarium, 1415 Glacier Ave.
