On Friday, Dec. 11, Capital City Fire & Rescue will put on a parade for the children of Juneau and Douglas with Santa Claus riding a fire truck while firefighters pass out candy canes.
The parade will start at 6 p.m. at the Mount Roberts Tramway and proceed up Franklin Street to Fourth Street along Calhoun Avenue, down 12th Street to Glacier Avenue, up Highlands Drive along Behrends Avenue and then looping back to Glacier Avenue.
Between 7-7:30 p.m., the parade will cross the Douglas Bridge up Cordova Street to Foster Avenue and go around the loop at Cedar Park and then back down Cordova Street, continuing to Douglas. Santa will arrive in Douglas and continue down Second Street to Saint Ann’s, looping back toward the middle of town on Fifth Street at 8:30 p.m.
