The Alaska Department of Fish and Game’s annual Family Fishing Day at Twin Lakes will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 4.
Division of Sport fish staff will be on site to loan out life jackets, rods, reels, hooks and bait at no cost, according to a Fish and Game news release. Rowboats for lake exploring also will be available, and the Juneau-Gastineau Rotary Club will sell food and drinks.
The lake was stocked by Douglas Island Pink and Chum staff with about 8,200 king salmon (8-10 inches long).
