Scout food drive on April 16
Juneau Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts are doing a food drive to collect non-perishable items for the Southeast Alaska Food Bank on Saturday, April 16.
Before the day of the drive arrives, scouts will be delivering instructional door hangers and bags around Juneau neighborhoods. Those who wish to donate should place the food on their doorstep by 10 a.m. on April 16. The scouts will come by and pick up the donation and deliver it to the Food Bank. If a donation is missed, it can still be part of the drive by being delivered directly to the Food Bank by 2 p.m. April 16; items may also be donated on any weekday morning.
In the past five years of doing the food drive, scouts have collected between 8-9,000 pounds of food.
