Andy Wink, a seafood economist for the McDowell Group, is leaving the group to form his own firm.

Wink’s new firm, Wink Research & Consulting, LLC, will specialize in economic impact studies, market analyses, infographics, grant writing, training program evaluation and custom support services for seafood industry clients, according to a press release.

“The projects I worked on at McDowell Group were becoming increasingly independent and the time had come to work more directly with clients,” Wink said in the release.

Alaska Fish Radio has named Wink the state’s top fish economist for four years running, and Wink has been the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute’s lead industry analyst since 2012. Wink aims to be accessible and to present his clients with digestible, helpful data.

Those interested in his services can learn more at www.winkresearch.com.
