The Alaska State Museum’s Solo Artist Exhibition Series for 2017-2019 will feature Carmel Anderson’s show “Unheard Voice| Unheard Wisdom,” which shares the experience of victims impacted by domestic and sexual abuse thorugh life-size caste and fabric sculptures displaying aesthetic elegance on the social problem.
Anderson is one of eight artists selected for the series. The opening reception will be on Friday, Feb. 3 from 4:30-7 p.m. and Anderson’s artist talk will be at 6 p.m. Her work will be on display from Feb. 3-March 18.
