The 2016 Southeast Alaska Board of Realtors’ Memorial Scholarship recipients were Corbin Mitchell of Juneau-Douglas High School and Bernadette Franulovich of Ketchikan High School. Each will receive a $1,000 scholarship to the college of their choice.
Past awards have gone to students from Haines High School and Petersburg High School. All Southeast Alaskan students who are set to graduate are eligible, as well as current postsecondary students.
Applicants are asked to tell the board about their activities and experiences in Southeast Alaska, their high school participation in extra-curricular activities, GPA, intended course of study in the college of their choice and goals for future employment upon graduation.
This ongoing scholarship was created by The Southeast Alaskan Board of Realtors to honor the late Larry Spencer. In September 2013 the long time Juneau Realtor and advocate for Southeast Alaskan Realtor passed away.
