On May 25, the shellfish samples collected by the Sitka Tribe of Alaska Environmental Research Lab to test for biotoxins, specifically paralytic shellfish poisoning, showed that clams at the following beaches have elevated toxins and should not be harvested at this time:
• Graveyard in Craig
• Starrigavan in Sitka
• Sandy Beach in Petersburg
• Boat Ramp in Klawock
Shellfish sampling updates will be available on the Southeast Alaska Tribal Ocean Research website at www.seator.org.
