I am that long row of snow-blanketed Chilkat mountains
from valley fullness to spaciousness beyond peaks.
I am frothy crests of wind-whipped waves in Lynn Canal
pushed south against an incoming tide.
I am a breaching humpback whale and the breach as well.
I am sounds of surf grasping in vain for the beach
the murmur of rolling pebbles and the silence in between.
I am a car passing on the road among the trees
sharing with those travelers a destination not yet reached.
I am all this and more,
like a bubble in a stream.
Glen Ray deeply enjoys life in Juneau and exploring spiritual qualities of ordinary experience through the lenses of meditation, qigong, tai chi and sculpture.
