Thank you from AWARE

Aiding Women in Abuse and Rape Emergencies (AWARE), Inc. began our 40th year with one of the most fun birthday celebrations ever! Thanks to the event’s main sponsor, Dr. Joy Neyhart, Susu and the Prophets provided an evening of wonderful music that kept dancers on the floor all night long! Additionally, AWARE is writing in deep appreciation of EVENT! Alaska, who provided expert planning from start to finish, Alaskan Brewery for donated beer with all proceeds benefiting AWARE, B’s Bakery and Bistro for freshly baked birthday cupcakes, Chef Stef for scrumptious salted caramel in shortbread crust, Coppa for Nas-Tea Woman ice cream (because a birthday party needs cake and ice cream), Marks and Meems for their talented graphic design, and Rockwell Ballroom for the great servers behind the bar. AWARE is thrilled with Dr. Neyhart’s generous gift and we are grateful to the local businesses who donated their services to bring this event to fruition. Thanks also to the volunteers who helped set up and clean up, and to all of you who were able to share AWARE and Juneau’s joy in celebration of AWARE’s 40th year. We couldn’t do it without you. We look forward to more 40th year festivities with you throughout the year!
