I would like to extend my gratitude to all the people who have helped, and also continue to assist me in my time of need while suffering from pulmonary interstial fibrosis. Due to my medical condition I have had financial difficulties making me face possible eviction, lack of food to eat and not enough money to purchase my much-needed medication.
I would like to thank St. Vincent de Paul. Though your resources may be limited your spirit of generosity is boundless. Thank you for your financial assistance so I could make my rent, avoid disconnection from my electricity which I need for my nebulizer and thank you for filling my sparse pantry.
I would like to thank Love Inc. They’ve delivered food to my apartment twice, each delivery enough to feed me for two weeks. Also, when I first came to Juneau, they helped furnish my apartment. Before, I only had a bed.
I’d like to thank Crossroads Church for getting me a new belt for my washing machine after it broke. Also, thanks go to Action Appliance for installing it. Crossroads also helped me pay for my electricity.
Thank you SAIL for your transportation services, otherwise I’d have difficulty getting around.
I would like to thank the Juneau Police Department dispatchers for being professional and personable when I’ve made an emergency call. I’d like to thank the emergency medical services team for helping me in the midst of a medical crisis.
There are three individuals, who wish to remain anonymous, who helped me pay for my medication. My thanks go out to you.
Giving is something that’s needed all year, not just the holidays. A special thank you to all the people and organizations who remember and demonstrate this with their actions.
I’d like to remind the community that St. Vincent’s will have their fundraiser Walk for the Poor happening this month. Please participate if you can.
