Community Health Forum thanks community

Cancer Connection’s annual Health Forum was held on Nov. 9. This educational, wellness community event was a huge success, thanks to volunteers, exhibitors, sponsors, supporters and all who attended.

Thank you to our guest speaker, Dr. Eugene Huang, of Southeast Radiation Oncology Center, whose topic “The Future of Cancer Treatment-Innovations in Therapies and Care, was very interesting and informative.

Thank you to our co-sponsors: Southeast Radiation Oncology Center, Bartlett Regional Hospital and the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services.

We thank our supporters: Coppa, Hangar on the Wharf, PEO Chapter D, and Rainbow Foods for help with set up, take down and refreshments. We thank our local exhibitors that provided health and wellness resources: AARP, AWARE, Alzheimer’s Resource of Alaska, Bartlett Regional Hospital Cardiac Rehab, Nutrition, & Diagnostic Imaging Departments, The Foundation for End of Life Care, Healing Touch Alaska, Hospice and Home Care of Juneau, Juneau Local Emergency Planning Committee, Juneau Public Health Center, Juneau Public Library, Let Every Woman Know-Alaska, Mendenhall Flying Lions Club, Planned Parenthood, Southeast Alaska Independent Living, Southeast Radiation Oncology Center, SEARHC, Southeast Senior Services and Team Survivor Perseverance.
