Thank you for ghost walk help
Thank you to the community for making the annual Douglas Ghost Walk a success. It was well attended Saturday night by over 280 kids in costumes. This event has taken place every year since the 1960s.
We would like to thank Benjamin R. Gilbert, DDS, PC for donating toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss picks, Office Plus for donating the candy prizes, Sherri McDonald, Color Wheel Arts, for making buttons with kids, the Douglas 4th of July Committee for donating the non-candy prizes, and the JDHS hockey team for setting up, taking down and running the Ghost Walk games. Thanks to all the families for attending and supporting this annual event.
Molly McCormick,
President, Douglas 4th of July Committee

Thank you to the Coast Guard
The Southeast Alaska Food Bank would like to thank everyone from U.S. Coast Guard Station Juneau for collecting 1,636 pounds of food for us in conjunction with their Haunted Station last weekend. We’d also like to thank everyone who chose to donate canned goods when they attended the Haunted Station. This year’s turnout was amazing, and it surpassed last year by almost 200 pounds. We live in a very selfless and generous community, and this generosity is very apparent every time a group like this chooses to collect food to help our cause. It’s only because of efforts like this, and the generosity of the people of Juneau, that we can continue to work toward our goal of providing healthy and nutritious food to those members of our community who may need help providing food for themselves and their families.
Thank you again, Coast Guard District Station Juneau. Together, we can end hunger.
Darren Adams,
Manager, Southeast Alaska Food Bank
