The Southeast Alaska Food Bank would like to thank everyone who donated food to us on Sept. 29 during Project Playground’s grand opening.
We were able to collect 398 pounds of nonperishable food during the ceremonies, and we would also like to thank the City and Borough of Juneau’s Parks and Recreation department for allowing us to conduct a food drive during this great event.
It’s only because of efforts like this, and the generosity of the people of Juneau, that we can continue to work toward our goal of providing healthy and nutritious food to those members of our community who need help providing food for themselves or their families.
Thank you again to everyone involved in making this food drive the great success that it was. Together, we can end hunger.
