Thank you Petro Marine Services and Lindsey family

We live in a very generous community and state, and that generosity is very apparent every single day.

We would like to thank everyone at Petro Marine Services for selecting the Southeast Alaska Food Bank as the recipient for its recent donation of $3,682.60. This money was raised as part of a promotion in which five cents from every gallon of heating fuel purchased by their customers is donated to a local food bank.

In addition to this $3,682.60 from Petro Marine Services, we would like to thank the Lindsey family, owners of Petro Marine, for making personal donations to us in conjunction with their company’s donation. Kurt and Diana Lindsey, Matthew and Tiffany Lindsey, Kristopher and Lauren Lindsey, and Carol Lindsey all donated $920.65 each, bringing the total donation to $7,365.20.

On behalf of the Southeast Alaska Food Bank board of directors and our volunteers, we would like to thank everyone at Petro Marine Services for your generosity and for your continued support of the Southeast Alaska Food Bank and the work that we do.

Your timely donation will allow us to continue our work of providing help to those families and individuals who otherwise might not be able to access much-needed food.

Last year, the Southeast Alaska Food Bank provided more than 313,000 pounds of food to local food pantries, nonprofit organizations, and members of the community.

With the recent expansion of our facility we are now able to maintain much larger inventory of food, and we are now even better positioned to serve our community.

The goal of the Southeast Alaska Food Bank is to continue to make a difference in the quality of life for those who need help in providing food their families in times of need. The very generous donation from Petro Marine Services and the Lindsey family will help us continue to provide healthy and nutritious food for those in our community who need our assistance, and is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Darren Adams, manager, Southeast Alaska Food Bank and Dennis Watson, board chairman, Southeast Alaska Food Bank
