National Alliance on Mental Illness Juneau would like to thank all the runners, walkers, supporters and volunteers who came out to the Extra Tough 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run. In total, 70 individuals joined the third annual event held during National Mental Illness Awareness Week.
Together, we raised $1,500 to support NAMI Juneau’s education, support and advocacy programs which are offered free of charge to individuals experiencing a mental health condition, their family members and caregivers.
We’d like to thank our generous sponsors, Valley Medical Care and Nugget Alaskan Outfitters (NAO). Also to our in-kind sponsors for their contributions, Heritage Coffee, Costco and Pavitt’s Health & Fitness.
Lastly, a big thank you to the incredible volunteers, including Scott May, April Rezendes, Myron Davies and Patty Moser who helped make this event possible.
