On the last day of November and in anticipation of the holiday season, Rainforest Yoga and Coastal Helicopters, for a second year, are supporting each other and the larger communities that they serve through an exchange of services.

Rainforest Yoga donated gift certificates and one-year memberships. Coastal Helicopters will share Rainforest Yoga donations among company employees. In the spirit of extending this time of holiday gift giving, Coastal Helicopters asks employees to bring items to contribute to the Great Alaskan Toy Drive.

Coastal Helicopters’ donation of services to Rainforest Yoga will be offered to teachers and members as one of three raffle items in its yearly membership appeal. Other donated items include a yoga mat produced by Soul Impressions Arts in Haines and a free massage from Sacred Forest Healing Arts.

While an exchange of services among community for-profit organizations and not-for-profit organizations is not unusual, it highlights a relationship of mutual appreciation that exists in the Juneau community and the way that the Juneau community depends on one another.
