On behalf of the Southeast Alaska Food Bank board of directors and our volunteers, would like to thank Alaska USA Federal Credit Union and the Alaska USA Foundation for their very generous donation of $2,100 as part of their annual Cash for Cans food drive.

The Alaska USA Foundation was established in 2003 to support 501(c)(3) charitable organizations that provide needs-based services to children, veterans, and active duty members of the military and their families. Since its inception, the Foundation has distributed more than $1.7 million to these organizations and is honored to assist those that provide direct services in support of its mission. This donation will allow us to continue with our efforts to serve those families and individuals in our community who may need assistance in securing healthy and nutritious food.

The Southeast Alaska Food Bank could never achieve its goal of providing healthy, nutritious food for those in need without the generosity and support of Alaska USA, the residents and businesses of Juneau, and the surrounding communities.

Last year, through the efforts of our one employee and our dedicated volunteers, the Southeast Alaska Food Bank provided more than 318,000 pounds of food to local food pantries, nonprofit organizations, and members of the community. We just can’t thank everyone enough for their continued support.
