Thank you to the Juneau Community Foundation’s Douglas-Dornan Fund. Your support of SERRC’s The Learning Connection (TLC) will allow 10 students to take their GED® tests free of charge.
Attaining a GED® certificate is hard under any circumstances, requiring months of dedicated study and support from family and friends. By removing financial barriers to success, Douglas Dornan funds will help TLC students complete their much-needed diplomas. Passing the GED® tests allows our students to retain or advance in their jobs, to find new jobs or to pursue post-secondary training opportunities.
TLC serves Juneau’s young parents, new immigrants, low-income families, laid off workers, elders looking to get back into the workforce, at-risk youth, those unable to complete high school and anyone else needing to build their skills for further training or college.
Thank you Juneau Community Foundation for supporting the education efforts of Juneau’s residents.
