Dr. Paul F. Trebian, originally from Alaska, has been named the president of the College of Menominee Nation (CMN), an accredited tribal college with campuses in Keshena and Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Trebian is Tlingit according to a release from the Shark Clan of the Eagle moiety. His undergraduate studies were supported in part by a Central Council Tlingit &Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska scholarship. He has a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Master of Business Administration with a Technology Management emphasis from the University of Phoenix. He also has Master’s and Bachelor of Science degrees in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
CMN was founded in 1993 and though it primarily serves students from Wisconsin’s 11 American Indian tribes, the enrollment also includes members from dozens of other tribes from across the country.
According to the release, Trebian focuses on faculty development, the improvement of student-faculty interaction, student retention, information and media technology, strategic planning and project management.
