The federal Tongass National Forest Advisory Committee will meet in Ketchikan from Dec. 1-3, according to a notice published in the Federal Register on Friday.
The committee is scheduled to review the draft environmental impact statement for the amendment to the Tongass National Forest plan and review its recommendations to the Forest Service about that EIS.
The public is invited to attend and comment. Information about a teleconference phone number will be posted at www.merid.org/tongassadvisorycommittee as the meeting date approaches.
