The Tongass National Forest is seeking comments on intended administrative changes to the Forest’s monitoring program. The intended changes modify the current program to meet the eight monitoring requirements of the 2012 Planning Rule.
The Tongass National Forest Draft Plan Monitoring Program is available for review at http://www.fs.usda.gov/goto/R10/Tongass/Monitoring.
Written, facsimile, hand-delivered, and electronic comments concerning this action will be accepted for 30 calendar days following the publication of a legal notice in the Ketchikan Daily News, anticipated for Wednesday March 9, 2016. The actual publication date in the newspaper of record is the exclusive means for calculating the comment period.
