University of Alaska Southeast has launched Finish College Alaska, a new program for Alaskans who have attended college but have not completed a degree. Advisors working with Finish College Alaska will contact prospective students across the state, responding to requests for information about how to incorporate credits earned in the past into a new degree.
The program focuses in particular in finishing UAS bachelor’s degrees available online in areas like business management, accounting, liberal arts, social sciences and education. A new mobile-friendly website finishcollege.alaska.edu was launched on Aug. 1 and features a chat function for potential students to get answers quickly.
UAS has also created Come Home to Alaska, which enables out-of-state students who have Alaska-resident parents or grandparents to pay in-state tuition. Those interested can find out more through the UAS Admissions office website uas.alaska.edu/admissions.
Programs are available both on campus and online. Classes for the 2016 fall semester start Aug. 29.
