League of Women Voters of Juneau will host its second annual Wine Tasting & Silent Auction Fundraiser from 5-7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14 at Rockwell, downstairs in the gallery. The event will feature an assortment of wines from local distributors, an array of silent auction items, the smooth musical stylings of Rob Cohen and a women’s suffrage-themed photo booth.
Tickets are $30 for individuals and $50 for two. Purchase tickets through PayPal online at juneaulwv.org or by emailing lwvjuneau@yahoo.com.
The local league relies on memberships and donations to fund its activities and fulfill its mission of 1) presenting unbiased nonpartisan information about elections, the voting process and public policy issues; and 2) advocating for or against public policies in a nonpartisan manner after study and adopting of positions.
