On Saturday, Sept. 3, the Juneau Symphony will host its annual wildlife cruise.
Passengers will be able to sightsee wildlife while onboard an Allen Marine catamaran while listening to live music from string ensemble members Sophia Butler (violin), Katie Kroko (viola), Meghan Johnson (cello) and Andrew Israelson (bass). The ensemble members are current and former University of Alaska Southeast students who also work in the Juneau Alaska Music Matters program.
Cruise passengers will receive complimentary wine tasting provided by Specialty Imports and hors d’oeuvres provided by the Symphony’s board of directors. Naturalist Mary Willson will be present to answer wildlife questions.
The catamaran boards at 1:30 p.m. at the Don Statter Public Boat Harbor in Auke Bay and will sail from 2-5 p.m. Tickets are on sale at Hearthside Books, the Juneau Arts & Culture Center and online at juneausymphony.org.
