Women of the Moose thanks community for participating in Frugal Fashion Show

The Women of the Moose, Juneau Chapter #439, would like to think all who helped or took part in their fifth annual Frugal Fashion Show & Tea at the Juneau Moose Family Center on Oct. 23 which was to benefit the AWARE Shelter. Pat Beadle’s tea cup collection was donated to the chapter this past year by her husband Stan after he passed away.

This year’s winner was Odette Edgar who received $100 cash, which she then donated back to AWARE. Other prizes included a $50 gift certificate from The Rose, $25 from Alaska Dames, $25 from Second Wind Sports, $20 from Lilette as well as several from the Juneau Moose Family Center.

We would also like to thank Cindy Hudson and Odette Edgar who brought in some lovely items to be used as door prizes for the event and of course all the ladies who baked refreshments for the tea.

Our judges for this year (Janine Place, Janice Mason and Janell Andrews) did a great job for us and deserve our thanks as well.

Next year we look forward to having more models including having more children and again having some men involved.
