Woosh Kinaadeiyí will hold the fifth annual grand poetry slam competition at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Juneau Arts and Culture Center.
Six contestants will compete for the annual grand slam title: Erika Bergen, Fysh Houck, David Parish, Maureen Longworth, Christina Apathy and Mike Christenson.
Opening performances will be done by: Dee Jay DeRego, Christy NaMee Eriksen, Amy Pinney, Caroline Garcie and Ziggy Unzicker.
The event will be hosted by Conor Lendrum and Annie Bartholomew with the music provided by the Woosh Kinaadeiyí House Band.
This pay-as-you-can event requests a donation of $5-$10. Gonzo will be selling snacks.
